Our story began with an injury. While training to become a physical therapist himself, our founder, Luke Hollomon, a seasoned runner, sustained a knee injury that stopped his running progress. Despite following traditional physical therapy for his knee injury—completing prescribed exercises and taking time off—Luke found himself in an all-too-common predicament. His knee had improved, but after six weeks away from running, he faced a crucial question: What next?
The standard return-to-run programs weren't designed for runners like him. They didn't account for his years of training, his previous weekly mileage, or his competitive goals. These generic run-walk programs were built for beginners, leaving runners like Luke without a clear path forward. His scheduled race had come and gone, and the road back to peak performance seemed uncertain.
Through months of research, experimentation, and careful progression, Luke eventually returned to full strength. But he had to do it alone and was very lucky not to get reinjured along the way. His journey revealed a critical gap in runner rehabilitation—the bridge between recovery and return to performance. This experience sparked a mission: to create a comprehensive support system for injured runners, one that wouldn't just heal their injuries, but guide them back to peak performance with confidence.
